We've all heard of manifestation and the law of attraction and the rest of it. The one that states that our inner reality, our energy vibration, thoughts and emotions are what attract certain things, events, people, relationships into our life, our external reality. That's all good and well, and we can all try and change our thinking and only think positive thoughts and visualise what we dream of and so on. But what makes all the difference is identifying and releasing what's in the way of what we want and dream of, those unconscious patterns, samskaras, that keep us attracting that which we don't want, our pet hates, fears and even nightmares into our orbit. The little voices in the back of our mind that just don't believe it's possible, that part of us that doesn't love ourself enough to let us have what we deeply desire, and also those wicked and often quite twisted payoffs we get from not getting what we want...that's the not-so-fun part of the work, getting face to face with our shadow (that which is hidden, which we don't want to see) for example:
